Delinda Dryssen

What does it mean to be really loved and known throughout a virtual world. What does it mean to die being such a person. What kind of hole does it tear into the social fabric of the virtual world we are active in?

In the case of Delinda Dryssen, who fell Into a Coma during a tour to promote a transplant contact service and to make people sign up as donors. She has received a kidney transplant herself and so, apart from her activities in SL, where she was a big driving force behind the music scene, she decided to point towards a big RL problem:

When she fell into the coma, her brother has set up a laptop so her friends in SL could speak to her and many participated in trying to brig her back. But sadly, it was not successful. She did so much for other people and while I didn't know her or met her inworld, I have been moved by her story a lot and so I too want to pay my condolences to her friends and her family.

She died at the age of 32 at 8:05 AM (SLT) from cardiac arrest.

Her family has asked people to send a donation in her name (Denise Williams) to KDIGO and/or Shay Kelly of Project 50/50 who has been a inspiration to Delinda.
