Let us think about some inworld action in the forms of protests/demonstrations to spread our message...and how we will organise these.
Next to the people we would reach inworld with this, both directly and (if working) through SL blogosphere, these protests would also be "ammo" to create for SLDM some videos to use other platforms as well for our message, like Youtube...
If you have an idea for a specific protest, what SLDM should have as protest stuff, other ways to spread the message, please comment with your thoughts in this thread and we will discuss these next membership meetings.

At our last membership meeting (5okt08), we discussed what we should do to get our message out there.
We thought creating short videos about the issues and SLDM's goals to post on Youtube and the like would be a good start to try to get our message viral.

and we would love to have you help create these videos with us. So, do let us know those genius ideas for a script! :)

any1 Gynoid: the most effective action.. (besides IBM) that affected most SL ppls I know was the human chain (burma issue)... on Common Wealth... been trying to reproduce something like that forever lol..
Smoke Wijaya: Triss, I think many many, also when this is called out for well in advance, will be ok with it and even support it
Rin Tae: it would not be that flooded .. I even think, that most of the event listings will be lost between all the other events made on any day

any1 Gynoid: i worked because it was viral... everyone tried to bring in more ppls..

Rin Tae: yes.. we have been thinking, that the events thing might be viral too since in the smallest case it jsut needs a event listing and placing the info hub we could even provide
Smoke Wijaya: yeah, like different "central" events to point to...but also the ability for all to do their own events...with their own focus...
Triss Gray: if it'd really be activities scattered all over sl, I am in favor
