We have talked about this before, but did not really act on the idea yet. Therefor, I state the proposal here again:
Regular ((bi-)weekly) Music Event at our Club at the Hqs. at a fixed day/time.
So, what do we need for this...
Djs/Live musicians, decision on day/time, ideas fo themes...and we migth want to think about creating a (temporary, for specific task created) organising team.

The Quiz -idea (with maybe some lindens attached to good questions?) would be good during parties I think.
I know you think we would loose focus when we do it more regurarly like say every week, which I dont think myself would be the case, since we are there as well and none of us can really shut his mouth about these issues :) .. but I also think that regular events are important to get a community going, to get regular visitors.
And no, I dont have nightmares lol ... was pretty good last time. Maybe Sioux is willing to play some time again as well. He at least said he would want to a while back.

For the quiz idea, maybe it'd be better to give away sldm branded stuff that we also sell in the shop, rather then prize money... In that way it doesn't cost us anything but some crafting, but "winners" still have the feeling they got something out of it.... I'll try to come up with some questions for it.
As far as the focus thing, I hope I'm wrong on this one :-) I'd just hate for us to become known as "that club with a democratic theme", if you catch my drift... Though I do like parties :-d

re SLDM Music Event......
In the membership meeting on 26 Oct October we decided on day, time and frequency...we had one two weeks ago, but nevertheless we still want to try to make it weekly from now on.
So, we will have a SLDM Music Event/Party every Saturday, from 10 am SLT to 12 pm SLT, at our own Club at the HQs
I think biweekly, or even monthly would be best, as to not loose our "focus" too much.... Also, other events could take place then pure music events, I was thinking perhaps something like a trivia-quiz perhaps (with sl-issues related questions? ;-) ), or some other form of "games"/contest....
As far as music goes: I'd be willing to do a "dj" (really can't call myself that :-) more like experienced tunes player :-)) session now and then, if you'd want to, perhaps even "themed" (music around a certain theme, eg a certain country, style, ....). Or not, if you still have nightmares from last party and my music ;-)
