In the membership meeting of 26Oct08 we decided on having a regular SLDM Music Event: Saturdays, 10 am SLT to 12 pm SLT, at our Club at the HQs.
At the 9Nov08 meeting we discussed the idea of having a Organizing Team around these events and thought this might be a good thing to do. A team that makes sure we have an artist or artists for each week's event, a team that is first contact for Music Event related information, a team that thinks about special themes and other things to dress up the events, a team that manages our Club, basically.
This team of course would inform the other members on each membership meeting about plans. At the same time, this would be a moment for the other members to propose changes, themes etc.
But first things first:
Who of you would want to be part of this Music Event Organizing Team??

Well, untill now we have just discussed each following party on the membership meeting the sunday before...although many times, an artist/DJ cannot be confirmed at that moment and the same people have to organise it during the week. Which now and then causes us to not have a party on saturdays...we all have busy first lives as well, next to other things in SL.
It would be really good to have this team that focusses on the parties...on managing the club. It would be good to have a bit of demarcation in things to do...to spread responsibilities.
I hope some people still would like to form part of this Music Event team...if so, please let us know.
